After his father's death (1811), guardianship of Tully was given to Gen. Martin Smith "till 21". He was probably born 3 years before his sister Eunice (i.e. 1795). No record of any children except the girl under 10 in the census of 1820. Tully Crosby was appointed a ward of Martin Smith in September 1812 in Trumbull Co, Ohio.2 He appeared in the census in December 1820 in Vernon, Trumbull, Ohio.
