In a fit of specualtion, I will leap to the conclusion that, because George's grandson was given the middle name "Woolford", the "W." in his name must be "Woolford" and that he is the son of William and Sara (Woolford) Childerstone. George W. Childerston was a merchant in Greenup Co, Kentucky. He had person sources.4 He appeared in the census in 1840 in Greenup Co, Kentucky.5 He was taxed on stores valued at $50 in 1841 in Greenup Co, Kentucky. He purchased land in partnership with Allen Myers and William in November 1843 in Greenup Co, Kentucky. He was listed as a "principal merchant" in 1847 in Greenup Co, Kentucky.6 He appeared in the census on 17 July 1850 in Greenup Co, Kentucky.7 He was a member of the Christian Church in 1855 in Greenupsburg, Greenup Co, KY. He and Melinda Myers appeared in the census in 1860 in Greenup Co, Kentucky. He "only heir at law" to William Childerson on 3 September 1860.8 He was on a list of supporters of Samuel McKee for Congress on 23 January 1867 in Greenup Co, Kentucky.9
