Herbert II of VERMANDOIS was born about 884.1 He and Princess Hildebrante of FRANCE were married before 907 in France.1 He died on 23 February 943 in St Quentin.1 He was buried in St Quentin.
Herbert II (902–943), a man absolutely devoid of scruples, who considerably increased the territorial power of the house of Vermandois, and kept the lawful king of France, the unlucky Charles the Simple, prisoner for six years.
