Biography

John Magruder was born in 1694 in Calvert Co, Maryland.1 He and Susanna Smith were married on 15 December 1715 at St. Barnabas' Church in Upper Marlboro, Prince George's, Maryland.1 He died on 15 August 1750 at age ~56.2
(John Magruder is a descendant of Alexander Magruder and thus a descendant of Robert II of Scotland. See Royal Descents of 500 Immigrants, p. 99.) John Magruder had person sources.3 He was named an heir in the will of Samuel Magruder on 23 November 1710.4 John Magruder owned in 1711 at Dunblane Plantation in Prince Georges Co., Maryland.3 He was elected as member of House of Burgesses from 1728 to 1745.5 He was named an executor for the will of Sarah Beall on 9 May 1734. He was named an administrator of the estate of Sarah Beall in November 1735.6 He made a will on 10 August 1750.2 The estate of John Magruder was probated on 14 September 1750 in Prince Georges Co., Maryland.2
