The IGI has a Laura Childerston who married an H. H. Finley in Clinton Co. IL in 1871. This is very flimsy evidence. She does not actually fit very well as the daughter of James Childerston. Not in any census with his family. Could have been the daughter of William & Mary Ward. Laura Childerston was ill with bronchitis at the census on 8 June 1880. She appeared in the household of William Henry Harrison Finley in the census on 8 June 1880 in Irishtown Township, Clinton, Illinois+.
